Finally we are off this Emperor-forsaken rock.

Now we have a new problem, the tribals are possibly afflicted with genestealer genes and must be purged for the good of the Emperor. We cannot allow such a terror to grow strong. It was with reluctance that I sent Ser Gant and his fellow tribal to meet the Emperor. It should have been handled better, and we could have possibly saved at least Ser Gant from any affliction had Dara not decided to try to beat the already wounded Ser Gant, provoking the other tribals, and instead lead him to the infirmary so that we could have given the wayward flock an honorable death instead of the flames reserved for the unclean.

Now to get get patched up in the medic bay. Those genestealers sure packed a punch.

Repairs on the ship has continued and we have organized several expeditions to the surface to regain supplies. It seems the Screes are at least edible, if not delicious, and we have gathered some materials to get some rudementary repairs going. It seems, however, that we have less time than anticipated as Dara has found some frightening information on the damned genestealers and their masters, the Tyranids. Apparantly the genestealers attract a Tyranid hive fleet when they are let loose on a new world ripe for harvesting, and we just opened the key to their prison! We need to get away from this planet quickly, preferably after purge all the tribals and genestealers to limit the risk. The powercore in the village could possibly do the job.

I burned them all like worthless heretics. We came into their village and went straight to the chiefs hut and struck him and his scribe down. Then I gathered up all of the villagers and delivered them from the horror to come with the holy flames of the Emperor. I wish we could have turned them back to the true faith but the risk is too great! The damnable Tyranids are too big a threat to the Empire of Man.

Nautilus managed to bring the powercore down from its pedestal, wish that we could use it in a better way than to blow up the planet but alas needs must, and we made our way to the “temple”. We salvaged a data tablet and a data cube as well as an Eviscerator from the tomb of the Lord Captain of the crashed ship and then left the village behind us.

On our way back to the ship we were assaulted by some spider that almost overcame Nautilus, carrying the highly unstable power core, but thanks to some VERY clutch twinlaser fire from Reg, the spiders were no more. I dread to think what would happen if any one of those shots would have hit the powercore.

We set down the powercore closer to the crashed ship and uploaded the coordinates to the Frank Exchange of Views. Whoever allowed Dara to within reach of the fire control should be punished. Had it not been for the intervention of Reg, I fear she would have blown us all to dust. I admit she is useful, but that woman is dangerous. In the end though, we managed to get away from the endeavour mostly intact, and it seems the datacube has some information on a fabulous treasure called the (forgot what it was called, put the name here). Maybe this could help cover the costs for the repairs of the ship?

Looking forward to a nice relaxing travel through the warp after this terrible field trip.
